Dieuwertje (DJ) Kast: Student-Led Projects to Greenify Low-Income Elementary Schools and Reduce CO2 Emissions

We developed lesson plans to introduce students to the concepts of greenhouse gas accumulation in the atmosphere and scientific data collection. Using the CO2 sensors, elementary school students emulated scientists by collecting CO2 data. Each community would decide on and implement an in-school greenification project to promote a greener environment.
