Mariam Kabamba Merry: Urban Reforestation and EE in Schools Across Lubumbashi, DRC

Working with schools in Lubumbashi, DRC, an area affected by mining and population growth, the project engages students in urban reforestation and educational activities about climate change, the impact of deforestation, and effective practices for planting, monitoring, and caring for trees. The schools plant both fruit trees and copper-resistant species.
