Closing Plenary
October 20, 3:30 PM EDT
NAAEE Board member Bill Street and Executive Director Judy Braus will close out the conference with a fun look back at our two weeks together.
The final keynote will feature a thought-provoking talk by Queens University Belfast Professor John Barry, "Education for Thriving Not Just Surviving Our Turbulent Century Ahead: Decarbonize, Decolonize, Democratize, Decommodify," followed by three intergenerational panelists responding with challenging questions.
In a quick flash talk, Principal Investigator Dr. Carol O'Donnell will also summarize the three key findings of the new Smithsonian Science Education Center report Educating for Sustainable Development: Perspectives of U.S. and Global Educators.
And finally, another lucky attendee will win our last $250 REI gift card, and two more will win the book of their choice from the Acorn Naturalist conference bookstore. (You must be present to win.)
